Review by Tangents Book Group. We all loved this book, a lovely story and well written. Most (though not all) weren't bothered about hopping backwards and forwards between time/characters. Reading it made us want to go and visit the Isle of Arran with such beautiful descriptions. We felt this was a peaceful and calm story with totally realistic characters and thought there were parallels between Elizabeth and Martha's lives. 5+/5!
