If you've read "Life After Life" you'll be familiar with some of the characters; this takes you further into the rest of the Todd family. Unfortunately, they're not all paragons, and there are characters in this one that need a slap. But it's a measure of the characterisation that I DID get angry with these people, and wished I could give them a good shake...I don't think this is as good or as satisfying, nor as clever, as "Life After Life" but I don't regret the time spent reading it. I just didn't feel as uplifted as I did by "Life"...
