the story of 11-year-old Addie as she campaigns for a memorial in memory of the witch trials that took place in her Scottish hometown. This book raised the bar for me when it comes to Autistic representation. I'm Autistic myself and i thoroughly enjoyed this book. I recommend it to pretty much everyone. Its a very much needed book. I particuarly like to see ableism actually tackled because often i do not feel it is fully addressed. I do recommend that if you are a parent to a young pre-teen child that you read it yourself first or read it together so you can be prepared for questions. There is at least one mention of a slur, bullying by children/adult, forced restraint and mentioning of a sectioning.
